Reviews for King’s College Hospital Dubai
A truly dismal and disappointing experience. I’ve had Executive medical checks in great hospitals in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore - King’s College was far below the standard.
The good - the ECG and service from the cardiologist and his team was exceptional. He was actively engaged in the ECG and stress test and kept me informed all along the way.
The bad - booking the check was a nightmare. I used the online system but received no response after 2 attempts. I finally called and got an appointment booked.
After that, the rest of the check was weak. I had asked for the full suite of exams and tests. I paid for the full suite and went to the Hospital for the check. The nursing staff was disorganized and confused. They wanted to do another ECG and stress test (I had just completed it 2 days prior). The eye exam was an eye chart that is stuck to wall with tape (it kept falling off). For the first visit I completed the blood tests and body mass check (exact same scale I use at the gym). There were no other tests.
On my return visit it became clear that they had forgotten to book any of the other tests - the GP reviewed by blood tests only. He was unhappy that the other tests were not available but blamed the staff. I was asked to book the remaining sessions over the next few days at a different site and he would call if there were any issues. At this stage I had been to the clinic 3 times and I wasn’t going to waste more time.
I asked for a portion of my money back. The person who booked the appointment blamed the clerical staff at the clinic and so on...
There was a total lack of empathy, accountability or interest from anyone at Kings.
I am hopefully getting some of my payment rebated.
Update - over a week later and still no reimbursement as I has been promised.
Update - 3 months later and still no reimbursement as promised. Many emails promising but no funds. Truly horrible service.
Update - they forgot to process the refund and promised to do so. But 5 days later and no $.
I really caution against using the Exec medical here.
Update - many emails promising reimbursement but nothing received. It has been 4 months of continued poor service and broken commitments.
Great Doctors, modern setup
