MedicalTourism.Review - Rules and Guidelines
MedicalTourism.Review (also refered as “MTR”) is a public website designated to review Medical Services Providers around the world. The reviews are provided by the “customers” (also called “patients”) that received a service provided by a Medical Service Provider: Clinic, Hospital, Wellness Facility, Medical Travel Agency and other.
Also the website is designed to give means to users to discuss, ask questions, give advice and support.
The website’s purpose is to provide reliable information to those who want to travel abroad to get medical treatment. It also aims to provide a safe space to share personal experiences with the rest of the community. See our About Section for more details.

For more information on that see the “Terms and Conditions” document.
4. Prohibited General Activities:
- You must use the appropriate interactive sections of the website for your purposes (see the REVIEWS, COMMENTS, AND USE OF OTHER INTERACTIVE AREAS section below).
- If you want to promote and advertise a provider or business - we have designated special pages for that (see the PROMOTING Section below), we insist that you do not promote in other pages - users not complying to this rule can be blocked or banned.
- Acting as an unofficial REPRESENTATIVE for a provider is not safe, and will be penalized. Instead, get in touch with us through the CLAIM PAGE page and claim your provider’s page.
- To prevent review fraud we do not accept multiple registrations of the same user, users found doing that will be banned, accounts will be closed and their submitted content will be removed.
- MTR prohibits content that would constitute, provide instructions for or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, state, national or international law.
- To avoid any third party copyright infringement we do not allow any content that can infringe on any patent, trademark, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party.
- We do not allow content that impersonates any person or entity.
- Please do not publish content that is unrelated to the topic of the Interactive Area(s) in which such Content is posted.
5. Reviews, Comments, and Use of other Interactive Areas
As mentioned before, our Website is split into certain interactive areas, each area has its own purpose, rules and guidelines (listed below):
5.1. Reviews Section
The Review section on a Provider’s page is designated solely for Provider’s reviews: users may list reviews of other users, post their own reviews, rate the provider after posting a review, edit their reviews, delete their reviews, interact with other user’s reviews and receive replies from MTR staff or provider’s representative. All the possible actions aren’t limited to the ones that were mentioned.
When posting a Review, we ask you not to post:
- questions or off-topic questions (please use Ask & Discuss Section);
- customer support (you may use Ask & Discuss Section for that);
- small talk (you may use Community Section or Private Messages for that);
- other provider promotion (you may write about it on the Provider’s Community Page in the Community Section if you wish to promote a provider);
- personal Information or Payment Information, we are the public website which means that anyone can access and use the information you provide, for that reason please be careful with the information you’re providing;
- inappropriate content - aggressive reviews, fake reviews, promotion-based reviews, reviews containing staff references and personal attacks, and any content that will be considered by the community (by down-voting the review more than 10 times) or by MTR staff “inappropriate” = will be flagged as Inappropriate Content and hidden from the public view.
- non-relevant and partial reviews, please take your time to write a full experience review, which should be longer that one sentence. Keep in mind that users will look for full and comprehensive reviews that might help them make important decisions.
- harassment, threats, hate speech, displays of intolerance and prejudice, we ask you to be most open-minded and positive;
- names of doctors, nurses or other medical staff are not allowed in a review because is a review of the Medical Service Provider and not a review of a medical professional. If this happens - we will censor the specified names.
- compare providers - we ask you not to compare providers between them, in the review you’re writing. You may do so in the Community Section, on the Provider’s Community Page, but not in the review section.
- plagiarize - please make sure you write only the original review, not copied from any other website or platform. If we discover that your review is copied from elsewhere, we reserve the right to flag your review as “inappropriate”.
- you may not rate a provider if you haven’t received a full service from it, however if you have been in contact with any representatives or any kind of interaction with the provider and wish to share your experience and concerns you may write a comment on provider’s community page (page dedicated to specified provider in the community section) which will not influence the provider’s ratings. (We believe that anyone who did not undergo full-service process cannot rate all the points important on understanding the quality of the services given by the provider, and influencing the ratings superficially might not give fair and full information for future patients, we hope you understand our concerns).
Important notes:
- Users that have karma less than 3 cannot rate a provider (see Karma Section);
- Moderators and MTR staff have right to edit your review to adjust it to the Rules and Guidelines.
- Reviews that do not comply to our rules will be marked as “inappropriate” or deleted from our website.
