We are two dental health professionals, a dentist and a hygienist, from Stockholm and from New York, working from our private clinic in Barcelona. Our philosophy focuses on conserving your natural teeth by means of treatment and dental education. Elena McCArthy co-owns Tingsvall McCarthy international dental clinic with Dr. Stefan Tingsvall in Barcelona, Spain. She has more than 30 years of experience and knowledge in dental hygiene and developed her own unique hygiene cleaning method. It is a product line integrating essential oils, herbal teas, and aromatherapy, as well as extensive patient education in her dental treatments. She is an innovator whose pioneering dental clinic provides treatment through the use of essential oils and herbal teas for rinsing. She also speaks publicly to educate her community on best practices in dental hygiene and preservation of gums and teeth. Elena started her career in New York City and says she chose her work because she was "an artsy person who loved clean beautiful things and liked people." She found the job as a dental hygienist to be perfect for her personality. She eventually combined her love of international travel with her profession and became a freelance hygienist who traveled through Europe. She first settle in Switzerland, but eventually relocated permanently to Barcelona, Spain, created her own method and natural product line and partnered with Dr. Tingsvall to open her clinic. Elena speaks at many conferences and community events on her natural method and to educate the population on gum health and proper oral hygiene. She has also written articles published in magazines like the Metropolitan and Arsenal Gym. Her plans in the next 5 years include continuing and expanding her speaking engagements and taking her branded natural products to the international market. She intends to offer them worldwide online and to partner with doctors around the world to distribute her products as widely as possible. She credits her long-term success to hard work, luck and the fact that she keeps going no matter what. She says her greatest achievement has been helping people and getting hugs and thanks from those who have been helped.
