Dr. Darío Chaves graduated in 2002 as DDS from University of Costa Rica and started working at the public health clinic in Jaco as part of a Costa Rican Government’s program. During this time, he realized the necessity of the town to have a dental clinic where the people could find all kind of dental services. Dr. Chaves opened his clinic in 2003 with one goal in mind: Give to the people the best dental services available.
He is frequently among the first dentist to perfect and use the newer, more advanced techniques and equipment and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies. This led him to train and implement Computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing also known as CAD/CAM
In 2010 Dr. Chaves began to specialize in digital dentistry taking courses in New York, Germany, and Chicago among many others.
With the implementation of CAD/CAM and due to the great acceptance of this innovative dentistry system, it was necessary to renovate our facilities, so in 2018 this project is carried out so we can provide a better space for our patients.

I am a resident of the USA and had extensive dental work done by Dr Chaves about 2 years ago. I waited to write a review because I wanted to see how the implants and crowns held up. First let me say that Dr Chaves is a friendly but professional man. I came into his office with horrible implants that were already in place. They were crooked and you could not see my teeth when I spoke because they were too small. Dr. Chaves spent an extensive amount of time researching the type of implants I had and after much ado, he was able to buy the correct tools to remove them. He then made a new set of uppers for me and put crowns on my bottom teeth. He office is state of the art! He even opened just for me on his day off. Well two years later my teeth are still in perfect shape and I couldn’t be happier. It was not cheap to have all this work done, but it was much more reasonable than the prices in the US, especially here in New York. The best part was that I got to vacation in Costa Rica while having all this work done. Thank you Dr Chaves and to your entire staff!
