Founded in 1976, Hospital Alvorada is one of the largest private hospitals in the state of São Paulo and a reference in high complexity medical care in the central and southern regions of the capital. Located in the Moema neighborhood, the hospital has over 25,000 m2 divided over ten floors and brings differentiated care and cutting-edge technology for its users. General hospital and reference in orthopedics, Alvorada has 175 beds, divided into 107 individual rooms, 38 ward beds, 20 adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 10 pediatric Intensive Care Unit. It also has a day hospital with 8 beds and 11 operating rooms. With over 1,330 m2, the Emergency Room operates 24 hours and receives adults and children. Every month, approximately 12,000 people are treated on an emergency basis, with state-of-the-art equipment and a specially trained medical team. One of the highlights of Hospital Alvorada is its multidisciplinary team, responsible for receiving each patient and monitoring their treatment, from hospitalization to discharge, with daily visits. Accreditation
In 2013, Hospital Alvorada gained accreditation and in 2016 it was re-accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), the most important health care services certification body in the world. The JCI seal certifies quality and safety in patient care, thanks to the adoption of a set of international standards, protocols, indicators, routines, and processes followed in any and all medical and surgical procedures and interventions, among others.
Service Differentials
For Hospital Alvorada, providing quality care is a very serious commitment. To ensure better conditions for its clinical staff, the institution has inaugurated a new, wider medical comfort area, computers with internet, television and surround sound. In addition, more than 1,000 employees undergo periodic training. To facilitate access to patient history, Hospital Alvorada has the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), a web-based image capture system. Through a login and password, the doctor accesses images only five seconds after the exam, as well as all information about the treatment and medicines prescribed to the patient. The hospital has an exclusive area for the following diagnostic procedures: X-ray, ultrasound, 64-channel multislice computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, hemodynamics, digital angiography, interventional radiology, and imaging-guided biopsies. The institution has digital X-rays, which ensure faster and more accurate images. Monthly, 13,000 tests are performed in the diagnostic unit of Hospital Alvorada.
