How does a cervicofacial lift take place?
In general, this cosmetic intervention is performed at a standard age, women between 40 and 70 are the ones who practice it the most. However, the person in charge of the assessment and able to decide if you are the right candidate for this type of surgery is your plastic surgeon. Only the latter will be able to direct you towards this type of surgical intervention. This confirmation will only be possible during the first preoperative consultation.
Several facelifts are available to surgeons to obtain the best result:
Temporal lifting: facial surgery specific to the temples of the face to erase the traces of aging.
Front lift: specific lift for forehead wrinkles, between the eyebrows or crow's feet wrinkles.
Mini facelift: as its name suggests this surgery, under local anesthesia, less invasive acts on the sagging of the skin and muscles.
Preoperative facial lift arrangements
During this first consultation, your surgeon will have important recommendations to make to you for the good progress of your intervention such as stopping smoking or taking aspirin weeks before your intervention. This initial consultation will also establish a medical history, a physical examination, and a psychological evaluation.
Procedure and operating techniques:
Ahead and neck lift in Tunisia can be done alone or in combination with rhinoplasty, a forehead lift or eyelid surgery.
The plastic surgeon will make incisions that begin above the scalp at the temples, behind the earlobe, at the bottom of the scalp. Often it is a unique cut. Another incision can be made under the chin.
There are many different techniques, but the results for each will be similar.
During a facelift, surgeons proceed with the following technique:
- Remove and "lift" part of the fatty tissue and muscle under the skin, which is the main part of the facelift.
- Remove or move loose skin
- Tighten the muscles
- Perform liposuction of the neck and jowls
- Use dots to close the incisions
