Today (07.07.21) I went to the Chiangmai Ram Health Centre to get a free flu vaccine through my school (I am a teacher) health insurance provider. A colleague of mine had gone a few days earlier and said the process took 10 minutes and that all I needed was my health insurance card and passport. Upon arrival I gave these to the front desk and was told it would cost me 600 Baht. I said it should be free through my work health insurance policy. I was then told that they would need to confirm this with the health insurance company. It took a 6 members of Chiangmai Ram Health Centre staff a total of 2 hours to process and the verify that I would receive a free vaccine. When I asked why it had taken so long the nurse said it had taken a long time for the document to be typed up and that there were many other patients to deal with. The health centre reception waiting area was empty and I sincerely do not believe it takes 2 hours to type up a document stating I should receive a free flu vaccine. I was not given updates during the whole process of waiting. I am disappointed at the lack of care and professionalism I received.

Summary:
I went for a treatment.
I have received the requested service(s).
I didn't have an appointment.
The service I received was very poor.
I had no complications after the treatment.
I don't recommend this hospital!
