- Augmentation Mammaplasty is a procedure that aims to increase the size and the symmetry of your breasts by placing breast implants.
The procedure is suitable for patients with naturally small breasts or for women who lost the volume of their breasts after pregnancy or significant weight loss.
During the procedure, you will be sedated and a local anesthetic will be administered so that you will not feel any discomfort.
The incisions will be done “under breast”, “underarm”, and “periareolar” depending on the doctor’s decision. Then, the doctor will create a “pocket” behind the breast tissue, under the pectoral muscle, or the chest wall where he will place the implant. In the end, the incision will be closed with non-removable or self-absorbing stitches.
