Barts Health provides a range of out-patient services on the Mile End site, which also houses some of our administrative offices.

The remainder is leased to a variety of local partners, including mental health wards for East London NHS Foundation Trust, services for the GP Care Group, and ophthalmology from Moorfields Eye Hospital.

There’s also the headquarters of Tower Hamlets clinical commissioners, research and training facilities for our academic neighbors at Queen Mary University of London,  a Healthwatch base, the Whizzkids wheelchair service, facial injury and disease charity Saving Faces, and experts from Accelerate, a social enterprise for lower limb conditions.

Mile End was recently selected as the home for a £5m cancer center to provide a speedier diagnosis for north east London patients, but there are also discussions underway about moving mental health wards from Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust, and plans for an extended ophthalmology offer
