- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a cutting-edge technology that uses laser scanning to analyze the topographical aspect of the back of your eye.
An OCT scan is used to monitor macular degeneration, macula hole, and the nerve fiber layer that is affected in glaucoma, diabetic macular edema, and vein occlusions. 

- Fundal photography is useful to monitor the back of the eye and different structures within it such as the macula and the optic disc, enabling the doctor to compare previous and actual results.

- IOLMaster 700 is used to measure the length of the eye, distances between structures, and the power of the cornea at the front of the eye. The importance of these measurements is that they allow determining the type of lens that will be used during the surgery and the power of the lens.
