How many hours should we sleep at night?

I often hear that to function well during the day and to be energetic, we should get from 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night, however, many friends of mine sleep less and are still feeling good, or some others needs more than 8 hours of sleep.

Does this depends on each person, or is there any special study that shows the amount of sleep we need? Also, is it preferable to be on the bed at a certain time?

try weekends without alarm nad see how many hours you'll sleep if you do that 2 days in a row you'll know better. But there is a catch you should go to sleep around 10PM not later.. Have a no screen no light no music hour before sleep, I suggest a book and a mint tea or something for to help yu sleep, then you'll definately know your hours of sleep, sometimes is not about the hours and more about the quality of sleep.

depends, before 6 hours was fine for me, now not less than 7
