Dr. Demián Glujovsky has been a senior attending physician at CEGYR for more than 15 years and he is the founder of Fertility Argentina, which is the department for international patients in CEGYR. Dr. Glujovsky is a reproductive endocrinologist in infertility, with a Master’s in Clinical and Health Care Effectiveness, with more than 35 papers published in peer-review journals and he works as editor in many scientific journals and networks such as Cochrane. CEGYR is an important clinic where the first IVF cycle in Argentina was performed in 1984. Nowadays, more than 1,500 IVF cycles are performed every year and our team takes care of most of the patients coming from abroad to our country (during the last 12 years we have taken care of 250 international patients per year). Cegyr, is part of the group Eugin, the largest network of IVF clinics in the world, with more than 45,000 IVF cycles per year. We have the largest embryo lab in South America, and we do any type of treatment including IVF with own gametes and also with donor sperm and egg donation. And we also do preimplantation genetic screening with the most modern technology (Next-Generation Sequencing - NGS-). Besides, we freeze eggs to those women who want to do fertility preservation.
The clinic operates in accordance with the international protocols and using modern technology in charge of very well-trained embryologists. Dr. Demián Glujovsky takes care of each patient with an individual approach, making each of them feel as if they were at home. We think that a shared decision- making process is very important as it helps patients to better decide which treatments they want to undergo.
We have a large Egg Donor Program in Buenos Aires, Argentina (with ISO 9001 certification of quality). Every year, more than 550 women/couples receive donor eggs and more than half of them get pregnant in each cycle. Our clinical pregnancy rates are 60-65%. We have a program based on sharing FRESH donated oocytes. It means that one donor donates her oocyte cohort to one or more recipients. Although each recipient gets a minimum of 7 mature eggs (MII oocytes), the average is 8-9. We do ICSI to all of them. We guarantee to transfer at least one embryo in the blastocyst stage (the average is 3-4). It means that if we don´t get it, we go for a second donor with no additional cost. Besides, 85% of the recipients have more than one blastocyst and can freeze them for a second attempt. If the patient decides to do egg donation + preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A), we guarantee to transfer at least one blastocyst that is chromosomally normal.

Hola soy Macarena- Luego de varios intentos de tratamientos sin éxito de fertilidad en nuestro país, llegamos a Fertility Argentina y el Dr. Demián Glujovsky nos atendió con mucha calidez y profesionalismo, estudió nuestro caso y luego de explicarnos el procedimiento a seguir comenzamos con el tratamiento indicado. Fue Demián quien nos dijo: "Yo quiero que se vayan con su bebé" , frase que no olvidaré nunca, y además nos fuimos con dos bebés! Ese año quede embarazada de mellizas, las peques hoy ya tienen 6 años, y son la prueba de que SI se PUEDE. Después de varios intentos en nuestro país sin resultados positivos llego a nuestra vida el Dr. Glujovsky nos lo recomendaron y alli partimos a Buenos Aires a la clínica CEGYR.
Es increíble como una persona con su dedicacion, sus palabras su disposición y su cariño puede hacerte sentir segura, cómoda y con ganas de lucharla hasta el fin. El estuvo presente en cada etapa de forma personal por mail y por whatsapp.

Committing to fertility treatment began a monthly rollercoaster of emotions in the face of daunting odds, fraught with uncertainty, disappointment and financial stress. We started with the basic treatments, supplements and physical health improvements, gradually we worked our way up the ladder to IVF.
By the time we reached IVF stage, anxiety and doubt had reached a sustained plateau. We were not content with local doctor options, so we started looking elsewhere. Luckily we have friends who were successful in Buenos Aires years ago.
We found Dr. Glujovsky easily through the internet and received a general introduction through the website and a skype call. In short, we could travel to Argentina, vacation there, and have all the procedures done for less than the cost of one treatment in the U.S. We decided that if we are going to spend all this money, we might as well get an adventure out of it.
At this time, we are pregnant, for which we are eternally grateful. However, I remember thinking as we left Argentina, months ago, that if it did not work, coming back would be nice, and we could see Buenos Aires in the spring. We highly recommend CEGYR and Dr. Glujovsky. This was the most enjoyable patient-doctor experiences we've ever had. Dr. Glujovsky was always available for questions, he met with us several times and we even communicated via text message (which is unheard of in the U.S.).
IVF in Buenos Aires is a time commitment. It takes a full day of travel to get there. The minimum stay in Argentina for the treatment is two weeks. You could plan three weeks and have all the medicines administered in Argentina. We choose for my wife to fly in with a family member to get the initial medicine and treatment there and I followed a week later, and stayed for the final two weeks of the procedure.
We rented an apartment a few blocks north of the medical facility in Recoleta through AirBnB. Walking and touring Buenos Aires was a joy and there were many days in between treatments to explore the surrounding areas. All of our experiences with Argentinians were very positive despite our very limited Spanish speaking ability.
We highly recommend Dr. Glujovsky and his staff to anyone who may be looking for an adventurous and compassionate IVF experience.
Update: We now have a beautiful, healthy baby boy, who is a joy.

Luego de varios intentos en Uruguay, decidimos ir a Buenos Aires con el dr demian glukovsky. Desde la primer consulta el dr. nos brindó seguridad, escucho nuestros miedos,nos habló de las probabilidades de éxito, nos transmitió confianza, algo que es fundamental para recorrer este camino.
