MTR Telemedicine design discussion
MTReview AnnouncementsHey there, health seekers!
As you might know, we have announced the development of the Telemedicine feature on MTR for Clinics and Patients and we seek some feedback from you.
If you haven't read our COVID-19 Progress Updates you can read it here.
We are implementing Telemedicine especially, but not exclusively, for cross-border online consultations, which means that users can log-in and schedule a video or audio consultation with a clinic or hospital from abroad.
The project is still at its early design stages and was collecting feedback and insights to know how this tool should look like and function to be useful and easy to use.
So far these are the main goals we aim for:
- There should be no technical implementation or support required by Medical Institutions.
- It should be easy to use for Patients
- It should be easy to use for Doctors
- It should be easy to schedule an appointment and easy for doctors to manage their appointments
We are making this tool for you - whether you are a patient or a medical professional and your comments and insights will make the process of perfection of this tool shorter.

So what do you think?
- Is this tool needed for patients to have video/audio consultations with a clinic abroad?
- Will this tool be useful for local (in-country) use in countries where telemedicine is not yet available?
- Do clinics actually need telemedicine, tools that will collect appointments, and support the video consultations?
- How should this telemedicine tool work?
- Does it need to have an integrated payment and insurance system?
- What information patient absolutely has to submit that doctor will need to have a more productive consultation?
- Should consultations be available from mobile?
- Do we need to integrate with some Medical Record system? Are there any popular services you can recommend?
- Do we need to implement some Digital Prescription services? Standards vary from a country-to-country, maybe there are some popular services used worldwide, which we can integrate with?
Nice! :)
I guess that's a lot of work for all of us. Maybe people have some recommendations / adjustments / ideas.
If you do - feel free to post these!
