Medical Tourism Safety FraudI contacted with Petra Universal Health Consulting in Turkey to perform two surgeries to my mum, face lift and change of breast implants (I worked a whole year to save money to her). They were very kind at the very beginning and offered us a very affordable price with only one condition, to pay it in advance by bank transfer. We made it, and after that, the very surgery day, they started to ask us more money (500 euros more), I said no, and then they started to say that my mum because her age can finish the surgery in intensive cares, and in that case we should pay 700 euros more. As they asked us more money and they didin't give us no invoice from the money we paid in cash (4500 in bank transfer, 2200 in cash) we started to get suspicious about the intentions from that agency. They said another choice was just choose one surgery and then they will make us the refund from the other one, we choosed the face lift and the company had to bring us back between 1500 and 2000 euros, plus we should extended the days, buy another flight ticket and lost working days because they didn't performed the surgery the day we dealed. After that, they promised us to make the refund on monday or tuesday, but no... then on tuesday or wednesday... but no... then wednesday or thursday... then no... then they said next week, but we will be back to Spain at the next week and the idea was making the refund while we were still in Turkey. As we were nervous and they didn't wanted to make the refund we called the policemen, but they didn't even answer the phone calling to the policemen. Then she started to insult me and threaten me by whatsapp, she didn't even wanted to send us the taxi back to the airport! Finally she said they will refund us the money at the next week... but no... then the very next week... neither... she was on a business trip, then in two weeks... but after two weeks, she blocked me from whatsapp and dissapear. No refund, never answer my emails, and nobody helped me. Be very very careful with this company, when you travel that long you get exposed to this kind of scams. You are unprotected and they know... Please take care about yourself and don't let this kind of people keep cheating to a persons who work hard to earn the money.

This makes me mad! And i'm not sure you can do anything about it, I mean if they still dind't give you the money back!
Exactly, in this cases you cannot do absolutely nothing! The policemen, the hotel, the hospital... nobody does nothing to help you, nobody cares. The only thing I can do and I will keep doing is making public denounces to avoid this people keep cheating tourists.
Oh, so bad! What you're going to do? Keep us posted on the progress. I would definately want to know what can be done in situation like this. Be strong!
Unfortunately you cannot do nothing... They don't just cheat you, they also post pictures of you in social media exposing confidential medical data saying which surgeries you have done with them, and NOBODY do nothing... I just keep going making public denounces about this scum to avoid more people get cheated. It seems it worked and the agency has closed. Thank you so much for cheer me up.
