Are the new birth control pills that eliminate your periods really safe?

I gave up using mine for the reason that what I have been reading made me think. So I realized that the convenience could not overweight the worry I had because of that... But I had to bear the consequences because they treated my PMS which is really bad and puts me to bed for 2 days in a month, really inconvenient especially when I have to work in these days and I can't even focus to hear what people say because of pain and shakes I feel. But even with all these problems I still believe I made a good decision to stop taking them, just hope to find another more healthy way to treat my PMS.
