I'm planning to go to UK for an operation. But I hve not talked to anyone who has done that. Is anyone here had experience with getting a surgery in United Kingdom, do I have to speak good english to get through the procedure? How it was, did you get good results, where have you been?

Actually, it is, I mean people come from developing countries and GB is in top 10most popular countries for med tourism... From China, Russia and Brasil from US too surprisingly... I think most of them are for spa treatments but still many come for operations too. I heard Arab countries too are preferring  British health care.

Seriously, I hear that all the UK citizens leave to other countries for treatment because is too expensive and waiting times are too long, or whatever reason. There are people coming from other countries to get treatment?

If you generally compare the quality of healthcare with other countries the UK has one of the best facilities because they have been best in medical research for centuries, the private clinics also are one of the best with most modern facilities and equipment. Many countries send their medical staff to train and study in Uk which is already a sign that they set the standard.
Of course, if you can afford it, they are the best which means they set the highest prices.
