I'll go to Mexico, I have been researching for a long time and yes you can find doctors who will do foll up care, it's not easy to find but you can find for sure. Anyway, the price is like half of what is here in the US and that includes all the flights and hotel.

My brother's wife from the US had done banding in Mexico, it's over 3 years. The surgery went well and after surgery, she had great results, she's happy with it. The insurance would not cover anything related to the bandig so she had some swelling and it got worse. She hat to go the ER and it was out of her pocket expenses, she got better after that.
She had no follow up after and had no assessment of the procedure no labs have done untill 2 years after the procedure. She paid around 8 000 but after that, she paid almost twice. She's happy with her results, she looks and feels good.

You definitely have to research a lot before going and be really safe where you go. My concern is follow up care, what happens when you get back and you have a complication? And how you're going to do the follow up in lon-term?
Check with your insurance would they cover you in the case of complications, also how far the clinic isrom the border. Also, it will be best to speak Spanish. Check how many surgeries the doctor is going to operate you have performed. And so many questions, good luck.
Also, you should see if you have been preparing well before the surgery, like the diet and visits to general health check.

It's not in my opinion, starting from street dangers and I have seen so many stories on how fake clinics butcher people, it's scary!
