As a response to recent pandemic developments, MedicalTourism.Review team is focused on supporting patients and healthcare professionals in new challenges related to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

 

These are the actions we are taking so far...

 

Coronavirus Statistics Updates

All medical listings and related (clinics, hospitals, medical travel agencies, wellnesses, medical insurance companies, and others) have COVID-19 statistics and progress. We aim to help users that look for treatment information abroad to get up to date information related to Coronavirus statistics in the country the listing is from. 

Example: If a user is browsing a listing of a Clinic from Turkey, then the listing of this clinic will contain statistics of Coronavirus outbreak in Turkey including total numbers of the outbreak in the country and the yesterday statistics with the percentage of growth to help the user understand whether the outbreak numbers are on the decline or on the rise. 

This will help users to understand whether it is safe to travel to this country for treatment or not and help find out when it will be safe. 

This feature has more updates coming up, i.e. border status information for the countries, that will help users know when they can travel to a particular country, and more to come.

 

Coronavirus Safety Articles and more

We publish Coronavirus safety articles weekly to help you stay safe and go safely. 

The safety articles are focused on different situations and scenarios, helping you stay virus-free. Some articles provide other information, helping you to go on with daily activities or emergencies in the Coronavirus context, for example how to visit your dentist in the times of quarantine, traveling and many other topics that will help you be safe.

New Article Page

Talking about our new article page! 

Now you can browse all of our articles on one page. We have launched our newly designed article page that will help you read our articles easier. The page contains sorted and grouped articles by various topics and themes, so you can find what you’re looking for easier and faster, and discover more interesting topics.

For the new article page we have implemented:

  1. Featured articles section - for top articles. 
  2. Articles search form - just type a word and all articles containing this keyword will be shown to you. 
  3. Top tags - filtered and saved articles by top tags which will most likely interest you. 
  4. Top collections - we have saved a couple of articles you might like from top categories. 
  5. Recent articles - you will see the most recent articles first, right, who wants to read 3 years old information? 

We write articles that will help you get treatment information you are looking for.

Improved Review

Our visitors have taken extra effort to leave more reviews in the time of the pandemic and based on your recommendation we are implementing a new review form to make the review process easier and more helpful, for you to understand the experience of other patients. 

Changes we make:

  • Improved user experience process for reviews,
  • Easier to read questions and answers to help you write the most helpful reviews,
  • Explanations for rating categories to help you give a more accurate rating. 

Also, we listened to the feedback from our providers to make the collection process of the reviews easier. 

Changes we make:

  • Easier to share the direct review form for any listing.
  •  

For a clinic now (or any other listing) you just can share a link to your patient which will open directly a review form for your clinic listing. 

 

Get a Quote 

Quote functionality is coming back! As we rolled back the quote functionality due to some technical issues, and design flaws, we are working on launching this functionality again.

Quote functionality will help you ask for a quote from a Medical Institution directly from the platform. You will be able to do that from the listing’s main page and from packages created by the medical institution’s representative. 

This will save you time not to enter all the information from scratch and will send to the clinic’s staff the context information you are looking for (including the package you just choose) directly on their email.

Direct Chat with Listing Representatives

Users, we’ve listened! 

Often patients want to talk directly to the clinic or a hospital representative - because initially, they want to have a free consultation and get a quote instantly. We are working to implement a direct chat so that patients can talk to the clinic representatives live, from MedicalTourism.Review.

Also, this functionality is planned to have integration options for the clinic’s website, where the clinic can have the same chat from MedicalTourism.Review on the website too.

Telemedicine for Medical Tourism

Yes, we are doing it! 

Due to pandemic related challenges, we have listened to our patients and medical service providers and decided to implement Telemedicine tools for the medical institutions that need Telemedicine and can’t implement it right now. 

Medical Providers - not only will this integration need no development from the medical institution - but it will be easy to use for any user. You will be able to set appointments, have video and audio calls, or use live-chat to consult your patients from anywhere in the world!

And patients - you will just need to log-in and schedule an appointment with a clinic you want. Most clinics offer free consultation and a free quote specific to your case.

Patients will need only to register and request an appointment on the clinic’s page.

And patients that need medical help but cannot visit the hospital right now can benefit from having access to a doctor’s advice online. 

 

Hospital Finder for Locals

Yes, many of our visitors do not look for treatment abroad, but for the lack of better alternatives - they use our platform to find a hospital in their neighborhood. Also, the current pandemic won’t allow cross-border travels in the near future.

We have listened to your requests and are implementing right now the local hospital finder based on your location and map integrations. Which will help you find a hospital near you, or in your country based on location or in a specific city you choose. 

 

Emergency Numbers

Emergencies can be different, whether it's dental pain or an unfortunate accident. 

We are working on implementing functionality that will help you find an emergency number for your case near you or for a specific location. Even better, accessed from your mobile will be one click away from a call with our mobile-friendly functionalities for calls and emails, you are using right now.

 

Localizations and Languages

As our website is serving users anywhere in the world, we are translating the website for easier use to languages you speak.
