Why Medical Tourism in the Czech Republic?

The Czech Republic economy is prosperous and in 2006 the nation was the first former member from the Comecon which accomplished the status of a developed country. It is among the safest nations in Europe and a part of the European Union, NATO, the OECD, the OSCE, the Visegrad Group, and the Council of Europe. The Czech Republic pulls in a large number of travelers every year, who come here to visit and appreciate probably the best Cubist, Art Nouveau, and Baroque structures in Europe.

The nation has rich practices, history, and culture, just as stunning touring. The Czech Republic has a ton to bring to the table, from chateaux and palaces helping to remember the incredible families, to peak ruins, spa towns, green woods, and stunning food. Being a developed and popular destination for tourism, the English language is widely spoken and used, so you will easily get along.

The country is renowned for its excellent results in oncology, cardiology, infertility, and eye surgery and procedures. Patients coming here have access to state-of-the-art robotic surgery, which implies faster recovery time, shorter hospital stay, and significantly decreased possibility of complications.

Hospital Accreditation in the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has very strict accreditation requirements for healthcare facilities, whether state-operated or private. Clinics and hospitals undergo regular inspections, and patients themselves have the opportunity to assess the quality of their care in national surveys. Some of the international accreditations that hospitals in the Czech Republic have or can obtain are JCI Accreditation, DNV, etc.

IVF in the Czech Republic

Prague Medical Tourism
The lifestyle and the cost of living in the Czech Republic is a fraction of what it is in many other European countries or the USA, so obviously, there are savings from that point of view.

Another advantage is that healthcare is very good and very affordable, even though it's not covered by insurance. And, even though foreign patients have to pay because they're not part of the national health insurance, the costs are usually still smaller.

Also, the legislation is transparent and convenient. The government programs are fully anonymous and you can protect your privacy if you wish so. They follow the European laws for human reproductive sales. The Czech Republic is a part of the European Union so there are many protective measures for the donors. The donors have to go through thorough checking before being allowed to donate.

By law, the age limit for IVF is 49 years. It is not possible to proceed with fertility treatment or embryo transfer beyond 49 years of age.  The treatment for men or for same-sex couples is not allowed. So the law says that you have to have a male and a female partner to potentially have a child born.

For surrogacy, the law also says they can accept only married, heterosexual couples where the woman cannot be pregnant for medical reasons, which has to be confirmed by her doctor and the centers or clinic doctors. The pricing for fertility treatment in the Czech Republic varies but a cycle can be on average about 5000EUR.

Many IVF clinics were familiar with online work even before Covid so during the pandemic you can still start IVF treatment. Usually you can begin with a call with a coordinator, the coordinator can explain everything, and receive all the documentation, prepare it for the doctor, and then the patient can have the consultation with the doctor, to start the treatment plan. You can send inquiries by email, social media, or call directly.

Weather in the Czech Republic

The summers are comfortable and warm, with very cold winters that tend to be dry, and windy, and it is partly cloudy year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 26°F(-4C) to 77°F(25C) and is rarely below 11°F (-12C)or above 88°F(31C).

Is the Czech Republic Safe?

The Czech Republic is extremely safe to go to, the crime percentages are exceptionally low, and even pickpocketing isn't usual. It is among the safest countries in European Union. Even so, it is recommended that you stay careful consistently, particularly in the streets. Transportation in the Czech Republic is safe, and for the most part solid, aside from the occasional pickpockets. Pickpocketing exists in the Czech Republic however it isn't too big of an issue. Be cautious and keep your belongings nearby.
