Founded in 1977 in Rio de Janeiro as Cardiolab, Rede D'Or São Luiz is the largest integrated health care network in Brazil, with a presence in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Bahia, Maranhão, Sergipe, Ceará , Paraná, Tocantins and the Federal District.

With a focus on humanized care, team qualification, the adoption of new technologies, and the expansion of care, Rede D'Or São Luiz is a reference in technical quality and has 51 own hospitals, 1 managed hospital, and more than 45 oncology clinics, in addition to working in complementary services such as blood bank, dialysis, and ambulatories of various specialties.

Rede D'Or São Luiz also invests in innovation and clinical research, through IDOR - D'Or Institute for Research and Education, founded in 2010.

With units also in SP, BA, and DF, IDOR brings together a team of more than 100 highly qualified researchers and professors, dedicating itself equally to teaching in the health area and disseminating its expertise through doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate courses, among others.
